Mattel La La Jingle Baby Nellie Doll 11 inches 1981 Vintage
Vintage Mattel La La Jingle Baby “Nellie” doll, dating to 1981. Your doll closely matches the known brunette, blue-eyed 11-inch Nellie version of Mattel’s La La Jingle Baby line. A current Poshmark example uses this same identification and size.

She features:
Approx. 11 inches tall
Curly brunette/auburn hair
Large blue painted eyes
Soft cloth body
Light blue and white polka-dot sleeper
White lace trim at neckline and sleeves
Decorative printed bib/appliqué
Vinyl/plastic face
Polyester fiber and polyurethane foam filling
Made in Taiwan
Original Mattel fabric tag
The sewn-in tag reads “A Quality Original by Mattel,” © Mattel, Inc. 1981, confirming the manufacturer and year.
La La Jingle Baby dolls were designed with an internal jingle/chime or rattle feature. I would list that feature as untested unless you have confirmed that yours still makes the sound. Another Poshmark example specifically identifies the line as having a rattle.
